Instead of doing a December favorites this month, I am rounding up all of my 2017 favorites! These are my most used products and the best of the best favorites:
This year I discovered the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser which I have talked about a million times before but it really did change my skin for the better! In 2017, I also started using a facial cleansing brush by Philips which has really helped with oil control and acne.
My fragrance favorite is the Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche This is my signature scent and pretty much the only perfume I’ve been wearing for the last 4 years. It’s fresh and light but lasts all day.
For nails, I’ve loved the Essie Gel Couture nail polishes, especially in the color Rock the Runway. I really need to pick up some more shades – the polish lasts a good week!
For hair, I am still using everything I mentioned in my blonde hair routine post. The Joico K-PAK shampoo and conditioner makes my hair so soft and it’s currently on sale at Ulta! If you have blonde hair, I recommend this purple shampoo. Side note- I am still loving my short hair. If you have been thinking about chopping yours, I say go for it! #NewYearNewHair
I enjoyed so many books this year and have fallen back in love with reading. It’s honestly all about finding the right book. One of my favorites this year was Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. This is such a classic book that I recommend every woman reads!
Another favorite by Elizabeth Gilbert (can you tell I love her?) is Big Magic. If you need some inspiration in your life, pick up this book! It’s all about pursuing your passions without fear. If there is something you have been thinking about starting or working on, this will absolutely motivate you to do it (it actually pushed me to finally create my blog!)
For novels, I really enjoyed It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover and Little Fires Everywhere by Celest Ng. Both were easy reads but had a touching message at the end. If you want to ease into reading, I recommend both of those.
I have two TV show favorites this year- The Handmaid’s Tale and Breaking Bad. I LOVED The Handmaid’s Tale, it was so well done and the story was captivating. If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend it. If you did watch it, how amazing is this sweatshirt? NEED.
Another favorite was Breaking Bad. I started watching this with my older sister and holy.crap. There’s a reason this is one of the most top-rated shows ever. I honestly don’t know what to do now that I’ve finished it!
My favorite destinations of the year were Nashville and Northern California! I went to Nashville for a couple of days for a conference and it was amazing. It’s such a fun city with music everywhere you go. You can’t help but feel happy all of the time.
I also had a great time visiting my younger sister Yuliya in California, especially our hikes in Point Reyes National Seashore and South Yuba River State Park. You can see our California adventures here: part 1, 2 & 3.
Favorite Bloggers + YouTubers
I read a lot of blogs in my spare time and my favorite blogger has been Carly from Carly the Prepster. She’s a fellow CT blogger and I love how relatable she is! I almost never miss a post of hers which is saying a lot. I also loved: The Cake By Hannah, and Manda Carpenter.
