Good morning friends! I am back in Connecticut, and I have so many photos and things I want to share from my trip to California to visit my sister Yuliya! I was there Sunday, July 2-Thursday, July 6 which turned out to be plenty of time to do the things we wanted to do. Yuliya lives in Berkeley which is about a half an hour away from San Francisco. When I visited her last year, she lived in southern California, so it was fun to get to explore a new side of the state this time around.
Happy Thursday, friends! Can you believe it’s the end of June? I am sure I say this every month, but MAN time is flying by. I wanted to start a monthly favorites series, so here are my June Favorites!
Hi guys, how was your weekend?
I was at a friend’s bachelorette party in Boston and it was super fun! We went to a burlesque dance class amongst other things and let’s just say I have a couple new tricks up my sleeve.
Wedding season is here and I’ve got you covered with some cute dresses to wear to a summer wedding!
About a year ago when I visited my sister in California I told her how I didn’t really know who I was anymore. I was in a weird place having just finished my MBA program where I was used to taking the lead, speaking up, crushing debates (like what?) and being flat out bossy at times. My classmates didn’t believe me when I told them that this isn’t how I am at work and that I am actually really quiet and reserved. I was experiencing a battle of selves.
Once upon a time I had a blog. Looking back on it now, it was pretty crappy to be honest. But at the time, I was happy just to do it, just to create something of my own. For the past couple of years I’ve been going back and forth on the idea of starting to blog again. Anytime I come close to doing it, I talk myself out of it. I say things to myself like, “Well, I’m a private person, I don’t want to put my life out there” or “I don’t know what to write about” or my favorite, “What are people going to think?” The list goes on and on.
